A number of us at Benchmark street furniture are keen cyclists, we even spend our weekends doing it. Whilst trying to find an adequate hydration stop at the end of a ride we where faced with some very rough, trendy, Corten steel cycle stands, we had no choice but to very tentatively rest our pride and joys against them. This how ever did get us thinking, how easy would it be to remove the possibility of scratching your beloved bike, whilst still offering an interesting stand to the townscape? After a little thought we came up with this design, the Friendly Bike Stand.
