A cleverly thought out transformation of a busy and playful park
This once neglected park has been transformed in to a new vibrant and playful family park.
Cardiff Park Services working Creative Exeter solutions and Gerald Davies ground works have transformed this popular local park in to something all members of the community can enjoy. The space now consists of a larger play ground encircled with a green and well planted border walk.
Having worked on a few Cardiff city projects we where asked to provide robust yet aesthetically pleasing stainless steel street furniture. Opting for our Baseline range we manufactured a number of picnic sets which fan out across the play area. Produced in 316 stainless steel these picnic tables and benches will last the test of time. They require little to no maintenance and should they ever feel like a change, they are 100% recyclable.
On the quieter side of the park the designer wanted something to engage everyone from the community, so some smaller seating areas where created. These consisted of round stainless steel tables, laser etched with a chess board and stools placed either side. This also meant wheel chair access could be achieved.
Over all this park has been completely transformed through clever design and well thought our materials choices
