St Pauls Place – Birmingham
St Paul’s Place is a prestige development located in the Jewellery quarter of Birmingham.
The old Thomas Walker building is one of the most historic and recognised in Birmingham. This statement building, which covers one block of St Paul’s Place, has been developed into unique luxury apartments.
A dramatic feature of this development is the internal landscaped courtyard, which the apartments look onto. The landscape designer’s concept was to form flowing paths intersected by curved walls, linked together with a series of curved benches. Having contacted Benchmark with their requirements, the Centerline range was an obvious choice, given the ability to customise the radius of the sweeping curves of the benches to match the wall and paving layouts. 316 marine grade stainless steel was used throughout, complementing the railings and staircase of the development.
The end result is a tranquil communal courtyard in which the residents can sit and relax, away from the bustle of the city.
