Interior seating with a spicy twist.
A modern market-style eatery setting for the versatile Benchmark curved Centerline CL011 seat.
Specified by Softroom Architects Soho, we were asked to produce a large curved seat for a Mexican restaurant soon to be opened in Bristol. Wahaca is a growing ‘market eating’ style restaurant known for its indoor streetfood vibe and creative individually-designed interiors.
With this in mind we re-worked the Benchmark classic CL011 seat to give a fresh industrial feel by manufacturing in mild steel which was then shot blasted and given a clear lacquer to produce a subtle shimmer to the finish. Bespoke cushions have then been added for a little dining comfort. An array of up-lit palms as a backdrop and a huge mural by graffiti artist Will Barras completes a vibrant space in which to enjoy salsa, tequila and of course the atmosphere that Wahaca is known for.
The (CL011) can be made in any length and curved to any radius. As well as mild steel it can also be manufactured in 316 stainless steel or can be powder-coated to any RAL colour with armrests set at any interval.
